HOW IT WORKS

The U-Touch screen is a frame with embedded IR-LEDs and photo transistors hidden behind the bezel of the touch frame. Each of the IR-LEDs and photo transistors is set on the opposite sides to create a grid of invisible infra-red light. The touch screen controller pulses the LEDs to create a grid of IR light beams. When the screen is touched, this creates an interruption in the light beam which is measured by way of an X and Y coordinatewhich is sent back to the host computer.
